Please consider commenting on the refugee resettlement program. They are preparing their plans for FY 2017, which starts this October 1. This is where they will propose raising the refugee cap to 100,000 or more. Obama has already said he would like to raise it to 100,000 in 2017. It is 85,000 now. That 2017 number would include 30,000 Syrians. However, the newly appointed UN High Commissioner for Refugees has upped the goal on Syrian resettlement to 480,000. Yes you heard right. 480,000.
My guess is this open comments period is part of the scheme. They will get the word out to every leftist in the country to send comments demanding higher caps. We need to provide opposing comments. Keep it clean and be as respectful as much as you are able without throwing up.
Two things to focus on:
1. the threat of terrorism from unvetted refugees and
2. the massive increase in costs at a time when our nation is 20 trillion in debt.
Our goal should be to pause the program or at least reduce the cap.
